In John 4:23-24 Jesus said “an hour is coming and now is, when true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

At Grace Bible we believe that a natural result of knowing God and His amazing love and grace will be heartfelt and sincere worship. Romans 12:1 says “I urge you therefore brethren, in view of God’s mercy, offer your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, ACCEPTABLE TO GOD, which is your spiritual service of worship.” Since we are loved and accepted by God our lives should be offered back to Him, with a desire to do His will, and see His work accomplished through us.

In the business of life we often get discouraged, and lose sight of this purpose. As we sing songs of praise, worship, and adoration to God, we lift our eyes heavenward. We are reminded of the greatness of God and His love for us. We are reminded that by His grace and His Spirit we can experience a life with Him that is far greater than the life we could live on our own.

All that being said; the music at Grace is mostly contemporary. But, sometimes we sing more traditional songs and hymns from past generations. Most importantly, we seek to sing songs that will penetrate our lives and prepare our hearts to hear the Word of God. We sing songs that help us lift our eyes heavenward and interact with God. Worship can be about bowing our hearts before Him, or raising our voices in praise for what He has done. But it is specifically about the Lord and for Him, and not about us. It’s not so much about the style of the music as it is about the attitude of the heart.

We would love to have you join us as we praise and worship our great God and see what He has for our lives.
